“This bullwhip is made from a bull’s penis. Two holes are drilled at the root, in which a rope is slid. Then the penis is tied to a tree and some good weight is attached to it to let it stretch out. When the penis is all dried up the bullwhip is ready. Back when I was a kid the bullwhip was a weapon for family defense, as nobody had firearms in their home.”

“Bullwhips were normally used to beat people up. The one in my parents’ house was placed above the bedroom door. My father said it was placed there for respect. He never actually used it. Nowadays carrying a bullwhip is a crime.”
