“My father bought this saw when he started his studies at the MULO to become a carpenter”, says Kèncho. “Then he went to the Shell company school. My father and his friends used the saw during school breaks as a musical instrument, they also used a hood saw.”

“When I doubted about how to play the saw my father told me to go see one of his former classmates. He showed me how to play the saw just like my father. Today I have saws in three sizes. The larger the saw the more tones you can play. I use them in all my shows, even at the Jazz Festival that I organized. Nowadays saws are shorter and sharper, you don’t see these ones that often anymore.”
