Simia di eikel
Listen to the story
In the heart of the Rehm Opvang Center in Rincon, there stands a tree—the eikel Tree. It is more than just a tree; it is the center of our care, a symbol of hope. Like a small seed that slowly grows into a strong, independent tree, the eikel Tree thrives without needing constant human care. It is a tree that survives against all odds.
Rehm, which stands for “Rincon Educating Youth into Maturity, is a safe haven for young people who need guidance and support. Just like the palu meimei, these young souls arrive as fragile seedlings, uncertain and vulnerable. But with time, patience, and nurturing, they grow—just as the tree has—into strong, independent individuals.
Through storms and scorching sun, the eikel Tree stands firm, its roots deep in the soil, its branches reaching for the sky. It is a reminder that, no matter the hardships, growth and resilience are always possible.
For every child who walks into the Rehm Center, the tree tells a silent story: You are strong. You will grow. You will thrive. Like the eikel Tree, they too can overcome challenges and become self-sufficient, standing tall in the world.
The eikel Tree is not just a tree. It is a living message of hope, strength, and survival—the very spirit of Rehm.
Through storms and scorching sun, the eikel Tree stands firm, its roots deep in the soil, its branches reaching for the sky.
