What stood out during the project: the history of Curaçao and the traces left behind are not exclusively a matter of museums and the government. Many participants of 100 Opheto cherish special historical objects and actively seek to preserve them for the next generation. For example, Natasha brought this forged nail.

“I found this next to a landhouse. It has a square edge. I found two on the ground. You can find a lot of antique objects at the landhouses.”

We are tempted to say: in Curaçao, history is there for the taking.
